John Cleve Green Society

John Cleve Green Society logoJohn Cleve Green Society members, and those who are interested in learning more about investing in Lawrenceville through their estate plans, enjoy access to special programs providing valuable information, expert advice, and an insider’s look at the School. Below are some examples.

The Annual John Cleve Green Luncheon

The annual John Cleve Green Luncheon celebrates members of the John Cleve Green Society—the alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends who have included Lawrenceville in their estate plans. The number grows each year.

The luncheon is an Alumni Weekend tradition and returned in 2022 after a two-year pause due to the pandemic. Aside from offering what one member calls “the best food of the weekend,” the event also provides a window into what is happening on campus through remarks by a senior administrator or veteran faculty member.

The support of the John Cleve Green Society is significant. Some of the largest and most meaningful gifts in the School’s history have come in the form of planned gifts. Just as the legacy of John Cleve Green led to the School’s “refounding” in 1883 and its ability to thrive throughout the 20th century, more recent planned gifts have helped Lawrenceville meet the challenges of the 21st century.
